MURMURS

Murmurs is an interactive research project built in TouchDesigner that turns movement into visual poetry. Using an Azure Kinect to track the body, each gesture ripples across the canvas—transforming displacement fields, noise, SOP structures, particles, and feedback loops into ever-changing forms.

Projected through two seamlessly blended projectors onto an ultra-wide screen, the visuals invite playful exploration: waves bend, particles scatter, and feedback trails bloom in response to dance-like motion. The installation creates a feedback loop between visitor and environment, where no action is isolated—every ripple collides with another, reminding us that we are never alone in shaping the space we inhabit.

Rooted in randomness and displacement, Murmurs is both an experiment in generative visual systems and a meditation on connection, offering audiences a moment of shared discovery where technology, body, and environment entwine.
